Nightlife
in NYC
Some would say that the name New York means entertainment. This is our selection of some of the best places to go in a city full of fun. The Knitting Factory is one of the hottest Jazz and alternative music venues in NYC. It is virtually synonymous with the cutting-edge, "downtown" Manhattan music scene where you can hear the new, the provocative and the challenging! At the Knitting Factory we are constantly asking ourselves "what is Jazz?" and the artists for whom we provide a platform are creatively immersed in exploring, stretching, and challenging musical standards, definitions, and boundaries. The club consists of 1 main stage, 3 full wet bars, 2 satellite stages, and an intimate cyberstage that seats 25 for internet-broadcast performances. The club is open between 4 PM and 3 AM every night and shows typically begin at 8pm. Essential
